Location:

Niederkassel-Rheidt between Cologne (Köln) and Bonn (former Germany’s capital) in the central west of Germany

Show Time:  from 10:00 until 18:00 hours scheduled by means of a Slot System

Opening Times:  Show open to the public from 10:00 hours until dusk.

Charges: No charges at all, free admission, free parking, free camping; however, donations are welcome.

Models & Fliers: Pilots come from all over Europe for this Show. Model weight limit is a maximum of 150 kg

Flying Field: 300m x 70m; grass and very flat; no obstacles, no trees around the flying area

Model Weights/Regulations: German regulations allow models up to 25kg take-off weight (including fuel)                                                                                  without a licence. Models over 25kg require a licence from the German Authorities to fly at the Show.

Insurance:  Mandatory

Pits Area:   Can be viewed by the public from behind a waist high safety fence

TX Control: Very well organized and secure; Monitoring of frequencies with scanner.

Permitted frequencies: 35 MHz (channels 61-80; 181-190); 2,4 GHz (preferably)

Pilots Briefing: In German and English

Commentary: Provided by the club with two speekers in a dialogue

Marshall’s/Helpers:

Many of them are at the flight line. They are totally commited to the smooth running of the Show.

Most speak English and really want their guests to enjoy themselves.


Facilities: from Wednesday 3rd August on

Camping:

On site and close to the flight line. Motor homes/Campers/Caravans can arrive from Monday 30th July

and depart on Monday 8th  August or at any time between the above dates.


Refreshments: 10 free bons per show day are given to pilots and their helpers.

from Monday 30th July on: Drinks, Wine and Snacks will be available at the Tent.

from Thursday 2nd August on:

-Beer and Beverages are provided in the pavilion and at the Beer Stands.

-Food will be offered in the pavilion.

Breakfast: served from 8:00 until 11:00 hours at the Show (show days only)

Utilities: DRK (Red Cross) are present as well as the local Fire Brigade.
